Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

It’s been a while since I’ve made these, but my husband loves them. They are delicious. They have a blondie-esque texture inside, and a crunchier cookie top.

And the best part is that you can cut them however big you want them!

Ingredients:

3 eggs

1 cup butter (melty-ish)

2 tsp vanilla extract

3 cups flour (heaping-ish)

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1 cup granulated sugar

3/4 tsp salt

3/4 tsp baking soda

1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F

Prepare 9×13 baking pan, by lining with aluminum foil with some over hang for removal. Spray with cooking spray.

Combine butter and sugar in stand mixer, beat until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, and add vanilla.

In separate bowl, mix dry ingredients together with wisk.

Add dry ingredients to mixer. Mix until combined. Do not overmix!

Use wooden spoon or spatula to fold in chocolate chips.

Push batter into pan, and sprinkle with any extra chocolate chips on top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes

Cool for 10 minutes in pan, pull out with foil, and place on baking rack to finish cooling.
